> Curatorial project with Masasam / exhibition scenography / graphic design of the catalogue and communication tools

The work of Osama Esid is a visual manifest of the relations between the Occident and the Arab World and looks for the visions and the social stereotypes that the two sides created in the past and that in a certain way persist in the collective subconscience.  The work on “orientalism,” with its exotic and sensual connotations from a contemporary point of view, generate a range of creative and theoretical possibilities that highlight the existing contradictions in the mechanism of the creation of clichés.  The presentation of the “Jeu de representation; l’expérience égyptienne” (The Game of Representation; the Egyptian Experience) opens the debate on the questions that unite the Occident and the Orient and that so worried the writer Edward Saïd.
